Fund Identity
What it is, who runs it, where it lives.
The Kurv High Income ETF (the "Fund") seeks to provide high income..
KYLD is an actively managed ETF that invests in U.S. and non-U.S. listed securities (including equities and ETFs) and/or derivative instruments (primarily options) on such securities, as well as derivatives on indices. The Fund generates income primarily through options strategies (covered calls, uncovered calls/puts, spreads, risk reversals, and protective puts/calls), interest from short-dated fixed income collateral (principally U.S. Treasury securities), and dividends from directly held securities. It may gain long exposure either by holding securities directly or synthetically via long call / short put combinations, and sells call options (typically 5%-15% out-of-the-money, monthly to 12-month terms) to generate premium income. The Fund is non-diversified and will not take temporary defensive positions during adverse market conditions.

The Fund sells call options approximately 5%-15% out-of-the-money on a monthly or more frequent basis with expirations of approximately one month to 12 months to generate premium income, capping upside participation beyond the strike price. It also uses synthetic long exposure (buying calls and selling puts at the same strike and expiry) to replicate direct ownership of the underlying security. Additional strategies including uncovered calls/puts, spreads, risk reversals, and protective puts may also be employed depending on market conditions.
