Fund Identity
What it is, who runs it, where it lives.
The Global X MLP & Energy Infrastructure Covered Call ETF seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Cboe MLPX ATM BuyWrite Index..
The Fund tracks the Cboe MLPX ATM BuyWrite Index by holding the Global X MLP & Energy Infrastructure ETF (Reference Fund) and writing (selling) a succession of one-month at-the-money FLEX covered call options on the Reference Fund, covering approximately 100% of the Reference Fund's value. Options are rolled monthly on the business day prior to standard monthly listed option expiry. The strategy generates premium income but caps upside participation when the Reference Fund appreciates above the strike price. The Reference Fund itself invests in U.S. midstream MLP and energy infrastructure equities concentrated in the oil, gas and consumable fuels industry.

Distribution Composition (Recent)
ROC is not free money — it lowers your cost basis. When shares are sold, capital gains are computed against the lower basis.
Composition · Narrative
The May 2026 distribution of $0.2572 per share is composed entirely of net investment income (100%), with no return of capital in the current period. However, on a fiscal year-to-date basis, 74.08% of cumulative distributions ($1.1907 of $1.6072 per share) represent return of capital, reflecting that the fund has distributed more than its income over the year to date.
