Fund Identity
What it is, who runs it, where it lives.
The Global X NASDAQ 100® Risk Managed Income ETF seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Nasdaq-100 Monthly Net Credit Collar 95-100 Index..
The Fund tracks the Nasdaq-100 Monthly Net Credit Collar 95-100 Index by holding the underlying stocks of the NASDAQ 100® Index and applying a monthly options collar strategy consisting of long 5% out-of-the-money put options and short at-the-money call options on the NASDAQ 100® Index. The collar is structured to generate a net credit, meaning premiums received from sold calls exceed premiums paid for purchased puts. The put options provide downside protection beyond 5%, while the short call options cap upside participation. The Fund generally uses a full replication strategy to match the equity component of the Underlying Index.

On a monthly basis the Fund purchases put options struck approximately 5% below the prevailing NASDAQ 100® Index price and sells call options struck at approximately the prevailing market price, each sized to correspond to the full value of the equity portfolio. The strategy is designed so that premiums received from the short calls exceed premiums paid for the long puts, generating a net credit. Options are exchange-traded, held to expiration, and cash-settled.

Distribution Composition (Recent)
ROC is not free money — it lowers your cost basis. When shares are sold, capital gains are computed against the lower basis.
Composition · Narrative
The May 2026 distribution of $0.1536 per share is almost entirely composed of Return of Capital (98.81%), with only 1.19% from Net Investment Income. Year-to-date, 99.15% of cumulative distributions have been classified as Return of Capital. The fund estimates it has distributed more than its income, meaning investors are effectively receiving a portion of their own invested capital back.
