Fund Identity
What it is, who runs it, where it lives.
The Global X NASDAQ 100® Covered Call ETF (the "Fund") seeks to provide investment results that closely correspond, before fees and expenses, generally to the price and yield performance of the Cboe NASDAQ-100® BuyWrite V2 Index™ (the "Underlying Index")..
The Fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in the securities of the Cboe NASDAQ-100® BuyWrite V2 Index™, following a buy-write (covered call) strategy. Each calendar month, the Fund holds the stocks underlying the NASDAQ-100® Index and writes (sells) one-month at-the-money call options on the Reference Index. The written options are held until one day prior to expiration and liquidated at a volume-weighted average price. The Fund uses an indexing (passive) approach and generally employs full replication of the Underlying Index.

Each month the Fund writes one-month at-the-money call options on the NASDAQ-100® Index, fully covering its equity portfolio. Options are held until one day prior to expiration and liquidated at a volume-weighted average price. Premiums received provide partial downside buffer but cap upside participation when the index rallies above the strike price.

Distribution Composition (Recent)
ROC is not free money — it lowers your cost basis. When shares are sold, capital gains are computed against the lower basis.
Composition · Narrative
The June 2026 distribution of $0.1854 per share is composed almost entirely of Return of Capital (97.45%), with only 2.55% from Net Investment Income. On a fiscal year-to-date basis, 98.97% of cumulative distributions have been classified as Return of Capital. QYLD estimates it has distributed more than its income, meaning a significant portion of payouts represent a return of invested principal rather than fund earnings.
