Fund Identity
What it is, who runs it, where it lives.
The Global X Nasdaq 100® Covered Call & Growth ETF (the "Fund") seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Cboe Nasdaq-100 Half BuyWrite V2 Index (the "Underlying Index")..
The Fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in the securities of the Cboe Nasdaq-100 Half BuyWrite V2 Index, which holds the stocks of the NASDAQ-100 Index and writes one-month at-the-money covered call options corresponding to approximately 50% of the value of that portfolio. By covering only half the portfolio with written calls, the strategy generates option premium income while retaining partial upside participation in the NASDAQ-100. The Fund uses a replication (indexing) approach and does not seek to outperform its Underlying Index.

Ordinary Income
Each calendar month the Fund writes one-month at-the-money covered call options on the NASDAQ-100 Index corresponding to approximately 50% of the value of the stock portfolio. Options are cash-settled and held until one day prior to expiration (generally the Thursday preceding the third Friday of the month). Writing calls on only half the portfolio allows for income generation from premiums while preserving some upside participation in the underlying index.

100% Return of Capital
ROC is not free money — it lowers your cost basis. When shares are sold, capital gains are computed against the lower basis.
Composition · Narrative
The July 2026 distribution of $0.2679 per share is almost entirely Return of Capital (99.98%), with only a negligible 0.02% from Net Investment Income. On a fiscal year-to-date basis, 96.05% of cumulative distributions have been classified as Return of Capital. The fund estimates it has distributed more than its income, so a significant portion is being returned to shareholders as ROC.
