Fund Identity
What it is, who runs it, where it lives.
The NEOS Boosted Nasdaq-100® High Income ETF seeks to boost performance by generating high monthly income in a tax efficient manner with the potential for enhanced equity appreciation in rising markets..
XQQI is an actively managed ETF with two components: (1) a core strategy mirroring QQQI by investing in Nasdaq-100® stocks and writing covered NDX® call options to generate monthly income, and (2) a 'boosted' layer that adds synthetic long exposure to the Nasdaq-100® via purchased NDX® calls and sold NDX® puts, while writing additional NDX® call options for extra income. Together, these components are designed to provide approximately 150% of QQQI's investment exposure. The Fund targets an annualized distribution rate of 19–23% and seeks tax efficiency through Section 1256 Contracts and tax-loss harvesting.

Section 1256 (60/40)
The Fund writes covered NDX® call options against its physical Nasdaq-100® equity holdings to generate income, while also creating synthetic long Nasdaq-100® exposure through purchased NDX® calls and sold NDX® puts. Additional NDX® call options are written on the synthetic exposure to boost income further. All NDX® options are European-style, cash-settled, and qualify as Section 1256 Contracts for favorable 60/40 tax treatment.

ROC is not free money — it lowers your cost basis. When shares are sold, capital gains are computed against the lower basis.
Composition · Narrative
The August 2026 distribution of $0.8236 per share is estimated to be 100% return of capital, with no net investment income or capital gains components. This is consistent with the fiscal year-to-date cumulative distributions of $5.9095 per share, which are also 100% return of capital. These are book-basis estimates and final tax characterization may differ.
